The Anna Freud National Centre remains one of the outstanding building projects we have been involved with, and it features our market-leading AA®100 SSG aluminium curtain wall product. The facility gives critical care to families. It was built to support new ways of providing mental health treatment in the UK, improving therapy quality, accessibility, and effectiveness. The project was innovative for Kawneer as we incorporated 'Parallel Opening Vents' into our AA®100 SSG product. It offered an automated ventilation system connected to the building's BMS. The thermal regulations for façade products will change from June 15th 2022, with U-value requirements and Window Energy Ratings being upgraded as part of the new Approved Document L. The changes are detailed on the Government website, and everyone within the UK construction industry needs to familiarise themselves with the changes.
