A lockshield valve is a type of valve commonly used in commercial settings to control the flow of water in heating or cooling systems. It is designed to create a balance between the flow of water through the radiator or device it is connected to, and the overall flow of water in the system. This type of valve is usually found on radiators and is used to control the amount of water that flows through them, and thus the amount of heat they produce. The lockshield valve is typically installed on the opposite side of the radiator from the thermostatic radiator valve (TRV).
