When used as a ceiling system it is traditionally applied as a skim coat not as a plaster.
Terraco EIFS Exterior Insulation Finishing System:
Terraco EIFS Exterior Insulation Finishing System can be defined as an energy efficient thermal wrapping applied to the exterior surfaces of a building. This external wall insulation is then finished with a long-life, decorative and protective coating system.Terraco EIFS has been developed, tried and tested for use in both hot and cold climates and is proven to substantially reduce heating or cooling costs as well as allow for the use of lower specification heating or cooling systems. Terraco EIFS is a certified, quality system and needs to be installed by an approved contractor.
Terraco Ambient T Acoustic plaster:
Terraco Ambient T is a high-performance acoustic plaster system for ceilings. It is highly versatile, environmentally friendly, non-combustible and comes in a variety of aesthetically pleasing finishes and colours. The system is used in a wide range of settings such as theatres, opera houses, reception areas, hotel lobbies, class rooms, lecture halls but is also suitable for domestic applications. Ambient seamless plaster can be used on its own or in conjunction with mineral wool or fibre glass panels. Ambient can either be spray or hand applied and is used in any room or common areas which would benefit from noise reduction or a sound absorbing system.
SuDS Compliant Surfacing: Why Architects are Specifying Permeable Paving Solutions
As urban development continues to intensify, the way we manage water on the built landscape has never been more important. With flooding events becoming more frequent and drainage infrastructure under growing pressure, the need for sustainable, porous, and permeable paving solutions is now a priority across all sectors of design and construction.
For architects and specifiers, SuDS-compliant surfacing offers a practical and environmentally responsible approach to surface design—without compromising on aesthetics or performance.
What is SuDS and Why Does It Matter?
SuDS, or Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems, are designed to manage surface water in a way that mimics natural drainage processes. Instead of directing water into overburdened drainage networks, SuDS encourages water to infiltrate, evaporate, or be stored, reducing flood risk and improving water quality.
In practice, this means using materials and systems that allow water to drain through the surface rather than run off it—a challenge traditional hard landscaping surfaces often fail to meet.
Porous vs. Permeable: What’s the Difference?
While often used interchangeably, “porous” and “permeable” have subtle differences that are important for specifiers:
Porous materials allow water to flow through the surface material itself.
Permeable paving refers to the whole system—surface + base—that allows water to pass through.
Resin bound surfacing is both. It combines porous natural aggregates with a clear resin binder, creating a surface that is smooth, hard-wearing, and fully permeable when installed over a suitable base.
✅ Why Architects Are Choosing Permeable Resin Bound Surfacing
SuDS Compliance
Resin bound systems are ideal for SuDS strategies. When installed correctly, they meet permeability requirements without the need for additional drainage infrastructure—streamlining the design process and easing planning approvals.
Sustainability
Sustainability is no longer a bonus—it’s a necessity. Resin bound surfaces support green building principles by helping to manage surface water naturally. Systems such as Addagrip’s BBA-certified ranges also incorporate recycled aggregates, making them a strong choice for environmentally conscious projects.
Design Flexibility
With a wide range of colour and texture options, resin bound surfacing allows design freedom without sacrificing function. Whether you’re working on a heritage site, contemporary urban space, or public realm project, resin can adapt to your aesthetic goals.
Low Maintenance, Long Life
Resin bound is not only visually clean—it stays that way. It’s resistant to weed growth, puddling, and surface cracking, making it an ideal long-term solution for high-traffic areas such as pathways, courtyards, and public spaces.
Accessibility and Safety
Smooth, seamless finishes meet the needs of inclusive design, offering a non-slip surface suitable for all users. This makes it particularly well-suited for public areas, educational settings, and healthcare environments.

What is Resin and Why Choose it for Your Driveway?
If you’re planning to upgrade your driveway, you may have come across the term resin bound—but what exactly is it, and why are more and more homeowners choosing it for their outdoor spaces? Whether you’re looking for something more sustainable, more beautiful, or simply easier to maintain, resin bound surfacing could be the perfect solution.
In this blog, we’ll explain what resin bound is, and why it’s fast becoming one of the most popular driveway options in the UK.
What is Resin Bound Surfacing?
Resin bound is a type of decorative paving that combines natural or recycled stones with a clear resin binder. The mixture is blended together in a forced action mixer and then laid by hand to create a smooth, seamless surface.
It’s not to be confused with resin bonded surfacing, which involves scattering loose stone onto a layer of resin. Resin bound is the premium option and is known for being:
Smooth and attractive
Durable and long-lasting
Fully porous – which means water can drain through it naturally
Sustainable and Porous
One of the biggest benefits of resin bound driveways is that they are porous. This means water can flow through the surface rather than sitting on top, helping to reduce puddles and prevent flooding. This feature supports Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SuDS), making resin bound a smart, environmentally friendly choice.
In many cases, using a porous resin bound system can also help meet planning requirements without needing to install additional drainage.
Designed with Beauty in Mind
Driveways don’t just need to be practical—they’re one of the first things people see when they visit your home. Resin bound surfaces offer a modern, high-end look that instantly boosts kerb appeal.
With a wide choice of natural aggregate colours and textures, resin bound driveways can be tailored to match your home’s style. Whether you prefer something bold and contemporary or more classic and understated, there’s a finish to suit every taste.
And the best part? The surface stays looking good with minimal maintenance—just an occasional sweep and rinse is all it needs to stay clean and fresh.
✅ Strong, Safe and Long-Lasting
A well-installed resin bound driveway is designed to last for years. It’s tough enough to handle regular vehicle use and won’t loosen or shift over time like gravel. The smooth finish also makes it a safe, non-slip surface, with no loose stones underfoot.
The Perfect Choice for Modern Homes
Resin bound driveways strike the perfect balance between function and design. They offer a clean, contemporary look while delivering real performance benefits—porous, sustainable, low-maintenance, and built to last.
