Our brand new OMNIE TOUCH smart thermostat delivers precise zone control of underfloor heating circuits. The large full colour LCD capacitive touchscreen display and ultra-thin profile not only mean that the device looks great in any home, but also ensures the programme menu is simple to understand and easy to use. A remote sensor is also available to create a partner zone (such as en-suite) or measure the temperature from a different location to the touchscreen. Our new controls are very easy to setup and have identical electrical connections to industry standard thermostats making them a clear choice for underfloor heating applications. The OMNIE TOUCH is available from mid 2018.
An OMNIE radiant heating system can be installed in the wall or ceiling. The same principle that makes underfloor heating work can be applied to walls and ceilings. As long as there is sufficient heating area a room can be satisfactorily warmed with a ceiling or wall heating system giving the same comfortable radiant effect as underfloor heating.
An OMNIE ceiling cooling system will reduce the ceiling temperature by a few degrees, this reduces the radiant temperature within the room improving comfort conditions.. Omnie is able to provide a range of products and controls for ceiling and floor cooling systems that provide an alternative to air conditioning.

CIRCOFLOPRO KITS PROVE BEST FOR BARN COMPLEX CONTRACT
A regular customer of Circoflo has made use of their bespoke design service and the custom sized underfloor heating solution to carry out a challenging contract, involving the installation of an air source heat pump, during the conversion of a traditional barn structure in an off-gas area of the Bedfordshire countryside.
Significantly, Air Install Ltd. offered a high performance renewable energy solution to the owner of the rural property at Bendish near Luton, as an economic alternative to the oil-fired boiler package originally under consideration.
The Grade II listed former agricultural building and adjoining structures have been developed into offices, meeting rooms and ancillary spaces for the client’s business, while the complex also includes a gym, yoga suite and kitchen for his private use. Air Install’s engineers have now completed the installation of the ClipRail and FloFloor underfloor heating, supplied as a bespoke bill of materials complete with manifolds and controls, throughout the ground and upper floors and using layout drawings supplied by Circoflo. Commissioning of the full heating and hot water system is due to take place soon.
Steve Kirby, a director of Air Install, commented: “The client was originally looking at having an oil-fired heating system, but we were able to show that an air source heat pump was equivalent to the cost of the boiler plus oil storage tank, and would be more economic to run.
As a company, we operate right across the country, though a lot of our work is in the South-East, normally installing underfloor heating systems with our heat pumps and always going to Circoflo for them. We get good technical advice from Brendan Hourican the National Sales Manager and in this case he recommended the FloFloor system for the yoga suite on the upper level of the barn because the integral diffuser would work well with the 8mm engineered oak flooring which is to be laid over it.
All six of the Circoflo systems available use the same 12mm pipe at 133mm centres, available in lengths of 50, 70 or 90 metres and a choice of two, three or four-port mini-manifolds to reduce congestion in the floor, while also minimising depth of construction.
In this case three manifolds were required across the ground floor layout, with a further one installed to serve the yoga suite. The nine separate zones vary in length from 29m up to 70m, with design floor temperatures in the range from 25-28.50 C.
Circoflo’s ClipRail is the easy way to install pipes into a screeded floor or where price is critical they also offer a simple staple system. FloFloor facilitates the installation of floating floors across various substrates. CircoBoard panels are used for fitting flush on brackets between joists or across battens, while LowDeck offers the ultra low floor build up at only 15mm. The TileDeck system offers a retrofit solution for both Tiled and Vinyl finished floors and completes the Circoflo offering.

After waiting a decade to gain planning permission to build their new home in a location steeped in British Naval history, a Devon couple were determined to optimise not just the views available, but also the technical specifications: choosing an OMNIE ground source heat pump to deliver the high hot water demand underfloor heating requirements throughout the spacious four bedroom property.
The Modern Movement inspired, four-level structure stands in the grounds of Mount Stone House, close to Plymouth’s famous Royal William Yard, with a striking seascape visible from an upper vantage point in the terraced gardens. The owners have worked with architect, Miles Lynch and the main contractor, to optimise the spaces created, while Sadler Bourne, Cornwall based heating and plumbing company is the building services and renewables specialist which recommended installing the OMNIE SWCV 92H1 ground source heat pump. The SWCV 92H1 meets DHW demand from the four en-suite bathrooms, kitchen, utility and cloakroom. Offering an output of up to 8.6kW, the highly efficient heat pump harvests renewable energy from three ground collectors inserted in 50m deep boreholes, which, drilled into the solid bedrock, reach down below sea level. A low temperature antifreeze solution circulates through the ground collectors, extracting heat from the rock and transfers it to the heat pump located in the home’s ground floor plant room. The compressor, at the heart of the SWCV 92H1, raises the bedrock temperature to provide hot water for a 400 litre cylinder set to 55ºC and the underfloor heating circuits operating with flow temperature of up to 40ºC. The heat pump is calculated to achieve a seasonal coefficient of performance (SCOP) of 4:4.
The Managing Director of Sadler and Bourne commented: “We cover the whole of the South-west doing plumbing, heating and renewable installation projects for domestic and commercial customers and started using OMNIE underfloor heating systems back in 2009, before also fitting the company’s air and ground source heat pumps when they launched a couple of years later.”

The OMNIE SWCV variable GSHP rang is available in three single phase sizes with output up to 13.5kW and can be suitable for commercial as well as residential developments. They are compact and neatly packaged, while they are also supplied with peripheral equipment such as the necessary expansion vessels and manifold for connection to bore holes or shallow ground arrays.
