Acoustic rated and fire resisting roller shutter tested to EN 1631-1 and classified E120 in accordance with EN 13501, EN 13241, EN 16034 and EN 15269. The product is also accredited to BS EN ISO 10140-2:2010. Features and benefits:Electric operation is by a 230 V nominal, single phase or 400 V nominal, three phase Speedsafe motor. Standard controls are via low-level open/ close/ stop push button.A manual disconnect mechanism and haul chain is provided for use in the event of power failure and a safety brake is supplied in compliance with EN 12604.In fire condition, gravity failsafe closing is activated by a 24 V d.c. signal from the client's fire alarm panel which is backed up by a fusible link release.Shutter curtains are constructed from 100 mm high flat section continuously interlocked galvanized steel laths which are securely held in place by steel end locks. Each lath is infilled with fire resisting acoustic material. The bottom rail comprises a standard lath fitted with a galvanized steel trim section.Vertical guides are formed from galvanized steel double rebate channels and are supplied with suitable profiles for fixing to the structure.The roller is constructed from seamless steel tube of adequate diameter to resist deflection and held in bearings or cups attached to the endplates.Endplates are zinc plated carbon steel of appropriate thickness relative to door size and supplied with angles for fixing to the structure.A galvanized steel coil casing is supplied to maintain the fire seal at the head.Fireroll Acoustic E120 is supplied with most parts galvanized as standard. Where non-galvanized parts are utilized, these are finished with one coat of primer paint.Options include heat/ smoke detectors and audio visual warning. Two-hour fire-resisting roller shutter tested to EN 1634-1 and rated E120 in accordance with EN 13501-2, EN13241, EN16034 and EN 15269-10. Additionally, the shutter is rated E60 when fixed to flexible structures in accordance with EN 15269-10 Clause J.1.2, and is CE marked accordingly.Features and benefits:Operation: Electrical operation is by means of a 230 V nominal single-phase or 400 V nominal three-phase Speedsafe motor mounted on one endplate. Standard operation is via a low-level push button station with emergency stop button. A pull cord and hand chain are provided for use in the event of power failure.Activation is via a signal for the fire alarm system to an auto reset solenoid. When activated, releases the motor brake allowing the shutter to close by gravity with a controlled descent.Curtain: The shutter curtain is constructed from continuously interlocked 76 mm curved section steel laths, which are securely held in place by end locks. Lath thicknesses vary dependent upon opening size.Bottom rail: These are galvanized, and roll formed into a tee section.Guides: Channel section galvanized mild steel guides, with slotted fixings for expansion in a fire, are fixed to the jambs with continuous steel angles.Roller: The roller is manufactured from mild steel tube of sufficient diameter and wall thickness to resist deflection and is mounted in bearings on each end plate.
