PermaQuik PQ6100 is a one-part, hot-applied, seamless rubberised self-healing hot melt monolithic membrane roofing system. Manufactured in the UK from bitumen, natural rubbers, and a blend of polymers, PermaQuik PQ6100 combines excellent waterproofing performance with toughness, flexibility, and strong adhesion to a variety of substrates. PermaQuik PQ6100 can be installed in zero falls applications and is BBA Certified for ‘lifetime of the building’ in protected (inverted) roof constructions, including green/ blue roofs.The membrane is to be applied by a Radmat Building Products Ltd approved contractor.Features and benefits:Fully-bonded to structure.Fire Safety: Approved Document B compliant with comprehensive 3rd-party Fire Certification to BROOF(t4).Complies with Building Insurance Technical Design Standards (e.g. NHBC, LABC, Premier Guarantee).Suitable for new build and refurbishment projects typically over a concrete deck.Effective Total System Thickness: 8-10 mm.Fast rate of installation in temperatures as low as -18°C.ISO 9001/ ISO 14001 accreditation.Substrates:Concrete: Use traditional methods of concrete curing (i.e. water curing/ wet coverings/ paper/ plastic sheets). Obtain approval from Radmat where concrete curing compounds (other than sodium silicate based) or release agents are proposed.Precast concrete and concrete block: Decks to BS 6229 and BS 8217.Metal/ plywood/ timber boarding: Surfaces to be free of oil, rust, paint or coatings which may inhibit the bond. Plywood must be WBP with durable ply species.Substrate preparation:Remove laitance, curing compound and form release agent from surface of concrete slabs by mechanical scarification, grinding, blast cleaning or chemical cleaning. Remove and smooth away any fins and nibs. Make good tie holes and damaged area with latex modified patching mortars, ensuring edges are slightly undercut. Existing surfaces must not be power washed prior to carrying out any works.Ensure all detailing and flashings are completed before installing the membrane.Primer:EshaPrimer – a quick-drying bitumen-based primer for concrete surfaces. EshaPrimer requires between 1 and 4 hours to completely dry. EshaPrimer must be completely dry before applying the bitumen membrane. For additional protection two layers can be used.Insulation materials: Radmat recommend the use of ProTherm Inverted Insulation products in accordance with BS EN 13164 or the subject of a current BBA Certificate.Water Flow Reducing Layer (WFRL):Radmat ProTherm XPS X MK Water Flow Reducing Layer laid loose with 300 mm laps prevents water from reaching the waterproofing layer and almost completely eliminating the rainwater cooling effect.Surface Protection:A minimum loading of 80 kg/m² to prevent the effects of floatation is required on all inverted roofing applications, additional loading may be required in accordance with wind-uplift calculations. This can comprise of Radmat MedO Green Roof finishes, Washed Stone Ballast, Pavers and other trafficable surfaces.  Liquid-applied inverted roof covering systems
