LIEBIG Superplus BLS is the only genuine market-wide self-undercutting anchor that does not require special setting tools. Unique in design, the undercut is created when the installation torque is applied, and the sleeve’s outer cutting teeth expand into the base material. This creates a high-strength mechanical interlock for cracked and non-cracked concrete, with a proven track record in safety-critical applications worldwide.
The LIEBIG ULTRAPLUS® anchor - now manufactured by EJOT® - offers the highest tensile and shear performance of any other undercut anchor, from 320KN tensile load and beyond. The LIEBIG ULTRAPLUS® undercut anchor is engineered for use in applications where reliability and safety are absolutely essential, e.g. for anchoring safety-relevant components in nuclear power plants, for industrial plants, conveyor systems, cranes and also for special civil engineering solutions. Undercut anchors present the strongest option for fixing into concrete. The process of ‘undercutting’ creates a flared cavity within the substrate. When in place, the anchor utilises the full capacity of the concrete to resist the application load. The modular design of Liebig products makes bespoke solutions and fast supply a reality.
The unique modular design and absolute strength of the LIEBIG ULTRAPLUS undercut anchor needs little introduction. Designed for use in applications where reliability and safety are critical, e.g. for anchoring safety relevant components in nuclear power plants, for industrial plants, conveyor systems, cranes and also for special civil engineering solutions. After the hole is drilled, a separate undercut is created using the LIEBIG undercutting tool. When the anchor is inserted through the fixture, spring pressure opens the expanding segments. These lock into the undercut with a clearly audible click. The result is a mechanical interlock without expansion stresses. By applying the specified torque, the fixture is fastened in position. The “positive undercut” allows perfect bearing of the segments and ensures reliable transmission of the load into the concrete.
