Permeable paving is an eco-friendly, sustainable and durable solution for protecting your commercial area from flooding or pooling water, by providing a sustainable water drainage system. Our permeable paving allows water to soak through the surface, releasing it into the ground. In recent years, poor water management has led to flooding of businesses, which can now be avoided.
Our Brett concrete permeable paving has been designed to achieve a high permeability, while enhancing the structural integrity of the surface. With modular paving blocks and an interlocking spacer nib, there is the correct joint spacing for efficient water flow. This works for projects big or small. For specialised solutions when it comes to kerb applications, our range of Trief and Kassel kerbs are a major advance in road safety and public transport access. Kassel kerbs offer a solution for bus docking, providing a reduced gap between the pavement and bus platform. Creating a safer and easier environment for public transport access, Kassel kerbs can provide wheelchair and pushchair access, and are British standard compliant.
With 160mm and 180mm standard Kassel kerbs available, alongside a new slimline 140mm offering, the profile of the kerb can minimise tyre wear. There is also a slimline version, providing a retro-fit application for integrating the product into existing kerb configurations to minimise time and cost. Our Kassel Diamond paving provides an additional option for LED ground lighting to be installed for enhanced bus stop safety.

The Dreen® Fixed Plate pedestal system has been used throughout Europe for over 40 years, delivering a cost-effective and robust solution for paved rooftop spaces. Together, the Dreen® pedestal system and Dreen® paving slabs can create a solution suitable for a number of different applications, such as recreational spaces and service areas.
Dreen® slabs have been specifically manufactured for use with rooftop pedestals, in particular the Dreen® Fixed Plate pedestal system. Combining low weight and high load-bearing capacity, the system allows for paving flags with interlocking corners. In turn, this eliminates horizontal movement while enabling sufficient water drainage.

Summer garden shows round-up
Summer is drawing to a close, but we can still look back fondly on the series of summer garden shows Brett Landscaping has attended and participated in, working with various partners and demonstrating the quality and breadth of our product ranges.
We have participated in two RHS Flower Shows and supplied our products to an award-winning installation at the 141st Sandringham Flower Show.
First, we supported an environmentally friendly garden installation by Viridtas Garden Design Studio at RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival. The ‘Nurturing nature in the city’ garden used our Limestone and Buff Gravel for the gabion walls due to their versatility, durability, and natural look when in situ.

Viriditas is known for emphasising sustainability and environmentally friendly designs. By utilising waste and reclaimed materials, they aimed to create a captivating and eco-conscious oasis in a small urban space.
Seeking to incorporate rough-hewn offcuts that would otherwise go to waste or be processed into aggregate, the decision to opt for Brett’s Limestone aligns perfectly with their commitment to sustainable practices, as the designers envisioned a space of relaxation, socialising, and play.
Following the festival’s conclusion, the garden was relocated to an inner-city sixth-form school in Camden. By donating the garden to the school, Viriditas and Brett contribute to creating a green and inspiring learning environment for the students.
At the 25th RHS Tatton Park Flower Show, Brett Landscaping supplied permeable block paving to a sustainable, climate-resilient garden designed by multi-award-winning garden designer Leon Davis.
The Unpave the Way garden was produced to encourage climate-resilient gardening. It demonstrates how homeowners can future-proof their front and back garden spaces by taking a holistic approach to garden design, using sustainable drainage, rainwater harvesting, and permeable paving.
Multi-award-winning garden designer Leon Davis designed the garden on behalf of the North West Regional Flood and Coastal Committee, which includes the Environment Agency, United Utilities, and Lancashire County Council. The committee supported and led the project.
Brett Landscaping worked with the design team to supply a range of appropriate paving for the Unpave The Way installation, including the permeable block paving products Invicta Flow and Alpha Flow.
The garden is now being installed for educational purposes at Whitaker Park in Rawtenstall, Lancashire.
Finally, Brett Landscaping supplied porcelain products to Dwayne Cloxton of Ground Maintenance Landscaping from Stamford, Lincolnshire, for their show garden at the 141st Sandringham Flower Show.
Their garden design, inspired by their newborn son, won the Silver Award at the prestigious show, set in the magnificent surroundings of Sandringham Park with Sandringham House and Sandringham Church as a backdrop.
The one-day show attracts around 20,000 visitors each year and enjoys Royal patronage.
Brett Landscaping supplied its Elegante Timber Porcelain Paving to give the garden a warm design aesthetic. It is ideal for creating an outdoor sanctuary fit for any season.

Five-star appointments add strength across Brett Landscaping’s sales teams
New appointments across a range of positions at Brett Landscaping & Building Products has significantly added to the expertise of the sales teams at the premium paving specialist.
There have been two additions to the merchant’s team, one appointment for the Brett Approved Installer team serving the southeast, and two appointments to the Commercial Sales team serving London and the southwest.
The investment in the positions is part of Brett Landscaping’s drive to improve its geographical reach and response time to customers at a time when success is increasingly being driven by quick and efficient delivery of products and service among merchants and contractors.
James Bridge has been appointed as the National Sales Manager (Merchants) and will have the responsibility of leading and managing the team of Area Sales Managers focused on products for the domestic market. James Burgess will join the Merchant Sales team as Area Sales Manager covering the south and southwest regions of England.
Both bring extensive experience of the landscaping industry to Brett Landscaping, having held key roles at businesses including Bradstone, Day Aggregates and Aggregate Industries.
Rachel Deal joins as Brett Approved Installer Development Manager for the southeast, arriving from Marshalls PLC, where she was Business Development Manager. Rachel also has an established career in branch management and sales with previous roles at Keyline, Burdens and Jewson’s.
As Approved Installer Development Manager, Rachel will play an integral role in the account management and growth of the Brett Approved Installer Scheme across the southeast region.
Jo Wallace-Blaker will join the Commercial Sales team as Civils Sales Manager covering the southwest and will be focussed on continuing the development of commercial sales working with housebuilders across the region on a range of schemes. Jo also joins Brett Landscaping with extensive experience from roles held at Keyline, Marshalls CPM and Burdens.
Finally, Sam Sherwood is the new Specification Sales Manager for London and south region. Sam’s industry and product expertise will place him as an integral part of the Technical & Specification Sales team.
