Triton offers an extensive range of pumps, sumps, drainage channels and alarms as an integral part of its Platon cavity membrane waterproofing system. These provide effective mechanical drainage solutions for all below ground structures where a cavity drain system is being installed.
Please choose one of the following categories:
STRUCTURAL REPAIR & PROTECTION
-
Cavity Wall Ties and Structural Repair Systems - Triton’s wall ties are manufactured from stainless steel to avoid corrosion and are either mechanically fixed, resin bonded or a combination of both. Mechanically fixed replacement cavity wall ties are most suited to structures of known strength on both the inner and outer skin. When the strength is unknown, resin bonded replacement cavity wall ties are most suitable. In addition to replacement wall ties, lateral restraints and crack stitching rods, Triton also offers a range of ancillary products including resins, grouts and drill bits to facilitate installation.
-
Ancillaries – Structural Repair Systems - Triton supplies a full range of ancillary products for the installation of wall ties and other structural repair systems. The range includes resins, grouts, drill bits and a repair mortar.
GAS PROTECTION
Triton supplies a range of ground gas barrier systems to protect buildings from the ingress of Radon, Methane, Carbon Dioxide, Hydrocarbon gases and VOCs. Their installation will help specifiers and installers conform to the requirements of BS 8485:2015 – the Code of practice for the design of protective measures for methane and carbon dioxide ground gases for new buildings. Certain products in Triton’s range of ground gas barrier systems also perform as Type A waterproofing systems as defined in BS 8102:2009 – the Code of practice for the protection of below ground structures from water from the ground.
CONDENSATION SOLUTIONS
Condensation is the most common cause of dampness in buildings and affects properties of all types and ages. In particular, it is directly associated with black mould growth. People living in homes where damp and mould are present are more likely to have respiratory problems and conditions such as allergies and asthma can be exacerbated. The presence of damp and mould can also affect the immune system.
Triton offers a comprehensive range of condensation solutions to both control and prevent all types of condensation. These include window condensation, condensation on walls, loft condensation and condensation in bathrooms. Methods of ventilation available from Triton to stop condensation include passive air vents, designed to ventilate bedrooms and living rooms, extractor fans for continuous ventilation, heat recovery ventilators that are ideal to control condensation in high rise accommodation, and positive pressure units for draught-free ventilation throughout a building.
GREEN ROOFS
Green roofs deliver many benefits – particularly to urban areas. They insulate and protect roofing materials, clean the air and help to counteract climate change.
Green roofs provide micro-climates for insects and bird life, and create fabulous spaces for work and leisure. A variety of imaginative and inspirational green roofs exist across the country, which vary from simple Sedum layers on single story extensions to areas of green lawn, disguising the roofs of underground car parks. They can also comprise wild flower gardens on the roofs of inner city estates; the most notable of which being the corporate oasis in Canary Wharf.
Triton Waterproofing Specialists Seal Leaky Basement
Shropshire-based Severn Damp & Timber Preservation specialises in
all aspects of structural waterproofing, cellar conversions, damproofing and remedial timber treatments. The company also offers a plastering service and conducts pre-purchase surveys.
The Severn Damp team installed a range of Triton waterproofing
materials to deal with water ingress around two skylights, formed within the concrete roof deck over a basement that extended into the garden of a domestic property.
The RC walls and floor slab of the basement were originally waterproofed using a bentonite membrane, whilst the concrete roof deck was protected with a self-adhesive sheet membrane.
Following the report of visible signs of water ingress into the basement, including staining to plasterwork from the two skylights, Severn Damp’s MD, Billy Roberts, with the support of the Triton technical team, designed a waterproofing solution to seal around them and to encourage surface water drainage away from them. He then recommended future works to lay gravel back over the deck or to make a green roof.
The gravel was removed around the skylights and the exposed brittle
and cracking plastic damp proof membrane was cut back. The area was
then jet washed. Mortar incorporating Triton Trimix Resin, a water and
salt resistant additive, was then injected around the skylights to fill any gaps. A bottle cove fillet of Triton Fillet Seal was then applied around the skylights and coated with two coats of Triton TT55 extending over the deck to one metre around each.
Triton Fillet Seal is a pre-packed cement based and polymer modified
product, designed for use as a floor to wall junction seal during
waterproofing works. It helps ensure a smooth transition between
horizontal and vertical surfaces and minimises the risk of leaving
gaps or holes unsealed. Triton TT55 is a highly effective damp proof
‘tanking’ membrane, applied as a slurry to brickwork, concrete or any
cementitious substrate.
A screed, incorporating Triton SBR latex admix (to improve the durability and water impermeability of the mix) was then applied around the skylights and across the whole deck area, with falls laid to prevent standing water.
Finally, two coats of Triton TWS Fastcoat were applied (over a primer coat) followed by Platon Double Drain protection and drainage membrane installed over the coated areas.
TWS Fastcoat is a single pack, moisture curing polyurethane elastomeric resin. It cures as a fully bonded and seamless
layer, offering continuous and flexible protection, capable of withstanding minor building movements without cracking.
Platon Double Drain drainage and protection cavity membrane is used externally against retaining walls and across podium decks. In this application it protected the TWS Fastcoat layer from potential damage and maintained a clear space through which the water could drain freely.

TRITON SYSTEMS WATERPROOFS ICF SUB-STRUCTURE FOR LISTED FARMHOUSE EXTENSION
TRITON SYSTEMS WATERPROOFS ICF SUB-STRUCTURE FOR LISTED FARMHOUSE EXTENSION
Products from the range of Triton Systems have been used to waterproof a semi-buried single storey extension to an old listed farmhouse near Uckfield in Sussex, with the specialist sub-contractor involved being a long-term customer of the manufacturer for its work across the South-East.
The current contract, which is being project managed by the property owner, features the use of Insulated Concrete Formwork (ICF) to construct the 30 metre long curving walls which have then been protected by Archer Specialist Treatments, using Triton’s EX100 membrane and Double Drain barrier to direct groundwater into a land drain around the base. Triton fillet was also used at the floor/wall junction to prevent moisture penetrating the joint.
Paul Halliwell, a Chartered Builder and Director of Archer Specialist Treatments, commented: “This has been a relatively routine project for us - waterproofing a retaining wall - so we did not need to call on Triton Systems for design assistance on this occasion, but we do get very good support from our area sales manager, Steve West: which is one of the reasons I’ve stuck with the company for so long as our supplier of waterproofing systems. Archer Treatments is a family run business which has been trading successfully for 35 years – working from Chichester on the South Coast across to Canterbury and taking in much of London. In the two decades or more we’ve been using Triton, we have come to depend on the product range’s quality and reliability for all types of residential projects in different ground conditions.
On a regular basis we employ their cavity drain systems – the P2, P8 and P20 – the injection chemicals for damp-proofing and the TT55 cementitious waterproofing additive as well as the fungal and dry rot chemicals. It is a very good relationship we have with the company.”
