Taking swing and sliding door automation to new levels, TORMAX sustainable iMotion technology guarantees optimum operational performance and energy efficiency by combining a high torque synchronous motor with sophisticated sensors and a ground-breaking control system that utilises LIN bus technology.
Reliable and Flexible
Designed for reliability and fully compliant with RoHS standards, the iMotion range of automatic door drives is tested well beyond current industry requirements. The high powered synchronous motors have none of the parts which usually wear out, such as gears and brushes, delivering near-indefinite life-expectancy. Further minimising maintenance, a health and safety self-monitoring system automatically makes necessary alterations in performance or signals an alert. Modular by design, expanding an iMotion door system is straightforward and cost-effective as requirements changed.
Sustainable
A sustainable option, iMotion automatic door operators are almost entirely manufactured using recyclable materials. In addition, energy consumption and heat loss from a building is minimised with iMotion technology allowing doors to be set for ‘reduced opening’ but automatically adapting if pedestrian traffic builds up from both directions. To accommodate site specific requirements individual adjustments can still be made via a user-friendly control panel. Performance is guaranteed thanks to self-monitoring torque control which adapts door operation to take account of factors such as high winds or a build-up of dirt, which may otherwise cause the door to slow down.

A perfect solution for high-traffic sites like this, the telescopic option maximises accessibility for areas where space is at a premium, enhancing customer convenience by delivering an opening width of up to 3800mm without sacrificing style or performance.
The sliding door is powered by the in-house designed TORMAX iMotion 2202.A drive. This technologically sophisticated operator incorporates durable components for an impressively long lifespan coupled with low maintenance needs. Certified for rescue and escape routes, user safety is assured — a key priority for Nest Self Store.
Recently opened, the Midlands-based Nest Self Store facility is a modern storage hub built for convenience, security, and 24/7 ease of access. Offering a premium facility, customers using their lock-up units are welcomed in through the TORMAX automatic door, simplifying their experience and improving pedestrian traffic flow.

Working directly with Nottingham University, TORMAX recently completed a new automatic entrance into the David Ross Sports Village. This popular facility experiences high levels of pedestrian traffic so TORMAX recommended their robust, technologically advanced iMotion 2202.A door drives to automate the two sets of bi-parting sliding glass doors.
Offering a complete package from door design, manufacture and installation, TORMAX also has an in-house team of qualified service engineers covering the UK. With a Planned Maintenance Contract in place, the new Sports Village entrance will benefit from timely servicing throughout the year, minimising unscheduled downtime.
