The PSS system is a tried and tested method of constructing in-situ concrete walls.

Over the last 40 years, thousands of pool shells and structural walls have been designed and constructed using PSS. The PSS system is builder friendly, as most site operatives familiar with brick laying techniques are able to construct the double skin wall in one operation from one side of the excavation. The cavity between the permanent block shutters is continuous, thus allowing reinforcing bar to be installed as required and concrete placed into the cavity to be vibrated.

The clever design - one short and one long side block, joined together by two pieces of high tensile steel - enables either a straight or curved wall to be constructed. As well as a full design service, we offer site advisory visits or can recommend a sub-contract builder, familiar with the system, to either assist your labour or build the system for you.

Retaining Wall Construction:

The PSS

Retaining Wall Section is a pre-cast concrete unit designed to permit the construction of vibrated concrete walls without the need for conventional shuttering. The PSS Wall Sections are laid on a suitable mortar bed in a traditional brick fashion. Reinforcement, vertical and horizontal bars, is fixed as the wall is built. Finally, concrete is poured into the cavity and vibrated around the steel reinforcement.

 

Basement Construction:

The PSS Shuttering System is ideal for basement construction and cellar renovations. Basement retaining walls can be quickly constructed with no noise or cement dust with limited space or access to site.
