Soundcraft undertake essential fire door installation programme for London & Quadrant
Continuing through another national lockdown, the Soundcraft team has successfully completed important upgrade schemes for the UK’s leading housing association.
Appointed by key contractor AD Construction Group for client London & Quadrant (L&Q), Soundcraft has fulfilled further fire door installations for residential properties as part of group’s ongoing fire upgrade programme.
The project at Villiers Close 1950s-built blocks in London E10, required the replacement of tenant flat entrance doors, together with cupboards and ancillary storage to FD30 rated compliant door sets. Operating within stringent guidelines, the Soundcraft team swiftly provided PAS24 Secured by Design (SBD) FD30s Flat Front Entrance Doors, both internal and external grade, as well as FD30s Tennant and Electrical Storage Cupboards
“Soundcraft’s capacity to work cohesively with the housing association and lead contractor was integral to the success of the fire door maintenance programme at Villiers Close,” said Managing Director Rob Thomson. “Our team is fully up to speed and all installations were carried out under strict adherence to Soundcraft’s Risk Assessment Method Statement (RAMS), particularly with regard to Covid restrictions.”
L&Q owns and manages more than 90,000 homes across London and the South East – making it the largest landlord in the capital and one of the largest residential property developers.
