Refreshing Westbourne Community Hall

The Brewers Foundation were delighted to donate all the decorating materials required to transform Westbourne Community Hall into a freshened-up space that can be used by the local community in which to thrive.

Westbourne Community Hall is a former social club, situated on River Street in Westbourne and home to a range of activities that the community can engage with.

For example, the Tiddly Toes pre –school group is open five days a week, they host bands for Wemsfest (a local live music festival), darts competitions and even daytime discos! The hall is also open for private hire as well as a busy weekly schedule:

1. Monday - Line dancing group
2. Tuesday - Dragon Fitness exercise class and kick boxing classes for children and adults
3. Wednesday - Women's institute meetings once a month
4. Thursday - Afternoon clubs and Bounce Fitness
5. Friday - Dragon Fitness and short mat bowls

The Brewers Foundation donated 2.5L Macpherson Quick Dry Gloss, 30L Leyland Contract Silk, 500ml Hammerite Radiator Enamel Gloss, 20L Brewers Trade Contract Matt and some Brushes to the project.

It is a privilege to be able to support a space that is bustling with activities for the local community but as Trustee, Paul Leaning explains, there is no slowing down with hall improvements!

“We have just redecorated and refurbed the bar area using the paint and materials generously supplied by Brewers Chichester and have just recently been given a grant from Westbourne parish council to refurbish the kitchen, we also intend to redecorate the main hall of the building!”

We cannot wait to see how Westbourne Community Hall grows and evolves – you can keep up to date with them on their Facebook Page.
