AKW Achieve EcoVadis Silver Medal Sustainability Rating
As part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability, we’re proud to announce that AKW has achieved an EcoVadis silver medal sustainability rating for the second year running.
EcoVadis is a globally recognised platform that evaluates corporate sustainability performance across four key areas: environmental impact, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement, with over 130,000 companies rated annually across more than 180 countries and 220 industries.
After making our very first submission in 2023, for which we received a silver medal, we’re incredibly pleased to have not only maintained this level following our most recent assessment, but thrilled to have also improved upon our previous score by 10 points, a feat we’re incredibly proud of and firmly believe reflects the efforts of so many of our colleagues and suppliers.
Our attainment of the 2024 EcoVadis silver medal places AKW within the top 15% of companies assessed in the last 12 months, reaffirming the strength of our sustainability management system, and dedication to promoting transparency and responsibility throughout our value chain.
We remain focused on continuous improvement and are already working on a comprehensive business improvement plan, developed in collaboration with EcoVadis, to further enhance our sustainability performance in the future.
