Problem Solved! Donating Paint To The Marlipins Museum
When a roof leak caused water damage to the exhibition gallery at Marlipins Museum, we knew we had the right products to help bring it back to its former glory. The Brewers Foundation were thrilled to be able to donate the paint needed to redecorate the museum based in Shoreham-by-Sea, ready for its reopening in May.
Donating Paint To The Marlipins Museum
Marlipins Museum is one of the oldest buildings in Britain, allowing its visitors to discover the maritime history of Sussex. The Grade II listed Norman building can be found in the high street of the coastal town and is famous for the flint and limestone chequerboard exterior.
Dating back to the 12th century, the building is believed to have been used as a toll or custom house for the port, providing secure storage for specialist items including wines, spices and fabrics. Today it stores a unique collection with objects collected from shipwrecks off the coast of Sussex and further away.
Zinsser BIN, Hammerite Kurust One Coat, Mylands Plant Based Multi-Surface Eggshell Paint and Mylands Marble Matt Emulsion was all donated to ensure the museum was decorated to a high standard, repairing the damage caused by the leak.
