Announcing the Appointment of our New Operations Director
We are delighted to announce the appointment of our new Operations Director Adrian Horne.
From an Engineering background, Adrian brings with him over 30 years’ experience within Manufacturing Operations, having held roles of progressive responsibility during this time. For the last ten years Adrian has been working with companies that specialise in the manufacture of medical devices.
Adrian replaces the current Operations Director Ian Johns who is moving into the role of Managing Director from 1st Jan 2024. Ian has more than 20 years of experience in manufacturing and has previously held senior positions in both operations and management.
Adrian’s appointment is another big commitment to our company’s long-term plan, to develop our knowledge, product offering as well as our continuous development as we head towards our multi-million pound factory move next year.
Throughout his career Adrian, who comes from Walsall, has worked across the West Midlands, the North West and also spent a considerable amount of time in Europe in particular Germany. Most recently though he has been based out of Warwickshire.
He is delighted to have joined the Robust team. He said:

Adrian added:
“Even though I have only been with Robust a short time everyone has made me feel very welcome. I am really looking forward to working with the team to build on the fantastic work that is already being done here as we work towards taking the business to the next level.”
He said:
“In terms of the skills I bring to the role, I am persistent, hugely resilient and really strive for excellence. I am keen to move forward to enhance and build on the fantastic work that’s already been done by our outgoing Operations Director and new Managing Director Ian Johns. I am keen to improve the processes in place to implement new ways of working as the company moves to the new site.”
Ian added:
“I am delighted that Adrian has joined our team. He brings with him a wealth of experience and will be an absolute asset to Robust. I am really looking forward to working alongside Adrian as I move into my new role as Managing Director next year. It’s going to be a big year for Robust and I am delighted that Adrian will be part of it.”
