Supporting the JPK Project
Brewers have been regular supporters of the JPK Project who provide opportunities for people with learning disabilities.
The JPK project has been expanded after opening The Old Town Café. The café is at the heart of the community, with a dedicated team of volunteers serving tea, coffee, lunches and homemade cakes. Phase two recently saw the opening of a community training centre, allowing the project to provide placement and training opportunities for individuals with learning disabilities.
The next phase of the JPK project was to create supported living in the form of 8 flats. The goal is to provide safe and supporting living environments with communal rooms to help residents build relationships and learn self-help skills. Brewers were able to supply decorating materials at a reduced cost in order to help the project meet their budgets and also make a £500 donation to the project.
The supported living looks absolutely amazing, and we hope the new occupants enjoy their new home!
