Brewers, Official Paint Partner for UK Community Green Hub Pilot in Bromley
Last year, Brewers were thrilled to be able to support The Hub from Greener and Cleaner by donating all the paint required to create the space. 35L of Little Greene and Albany paint was donated alongside sundries to create an inspirational space.
The Hub is a community space in which to share information and resources to reduce our environmental impact and can be found upstairs on the upper mall of The Glades shopping centre in Bromley.
The Hub one year on…
In its first year, The Hub hosted almost 200 events, 2981 hours of volunteering and thousands of visitors. It gets busier every day with more and more people in the community making the most of this valuable resource, which prides itself on being inclusive, peer-to-peer, non-judgemental, welcoming and friendly. It's making a difference to all those who want to help the climate and reduce their carbon footprint. The paintwork certainly makes a vibrant backdrop for a vibrant community!
The Hub is mainly manned by volunteers. Visitors can drop in for advice on sustainable living or inspiration on everyday changes they can make. They can find out information on community groups, apps and local schemes too. The Hub also runs a wide variety of events often in partnership with a local business or community group, and host Bromley Library of Things in the space too.
