Coppa Gutta - Copper Rainwater Systems:
A naturally beautiful material that looks elegant against virtually any building material.
Supplied in a natural finish our Copper Guttering components will naturally age in a couple of months through various shades of brown eventually forming a verdigris patina.
Why copper guttering?
Each of our three copper guttering profiles and copper downpipes are made from 0.6mm copper, which should give a material life in excess of 100 Years.
Copper is the most eco-friendly guttering material available
Approximately 60% of the material content used in the production of our copper guttering is from recycled copper. Your new copper gutters will be virtually maintenance-free and will require no painting. Copper guttering works as a natural biocide purifying the water to stop the build up of algae, making it the perfect partner for your rainwater harvesting system.
Stainless Gutta - Stainless Steel Rainwater Systems:
A hard durable material with a natural unifinished light metallic grey surface gives this gutter an ultra modern appeal.
Our Stainless Steel guttering systems are very hard wearing and virtually maintenance free.

Like our Copper guttering our Zinc gutters suit a multitude of building fabrics.
Supplied in its natural light silver form, Zinc will age over the coming months darkening to a beautiful graphite grey colour.

Copper Roof Ridges
‘Metal Gutta’ not only produce metal guttering in copper, stainless steel and zinc, but also manufacture roofing accessories too. Earlier this year, Diggle Electrical who were working on a new build in Devon, got in contact regarding Copper Roll Top Roof Ridges to be placed onto the roof of their new build which is under construction.
Copper Roof Ridges come with a myriad of advantages and are an ever-growing popular trend in modern architectural construction, particularly among new builds. Roof Ridges, like the name suggests sit atop the ridge of a roof. They help stop the growth of algae, lichen and moss building up onto said roof. This is a low-cost way to eliminate the dangerous task of cleaning the roof in the future. Copper is the perfect material for Roof Ridges as the copper reacts with the air and rain, which in turn causes the copper to oxidise. Once oxidised the copper ridge produces copper sulphate, this fungicide is a highly effective moss killer whose effects will last for years to come.
Moss is one of the most detrimental substances to appear on roofs, as even the smallest build-up of moss will act like a sponge and absorb any water which it comes in contact with. This creates enormous stress and adds additional weight onto the roof, which will in time weaken the structural integrity of the roof and shorten its lifespan. Frost is another hazard to roofing, which can at times push and shift the tiles from below, however, with a Copper Ridge, this danger is eradicated.
Metal Gutta sells these Ridges in 2.4m metre lengths, which can be cut to suit on site and is one of the most inexpensive and environmentally friendly approaches to protecting and increasing the longevity of your roof. 60% of the copper used in Metal Gutta’s production is recycled, giving it the moniker of a “green material” not just for the fact it turns green over time.
Zinc Guttering Installation
Metal Gutta has been producing and manufacturing metal guttering since 2002. Originally starting out just manufacturing Copper Guttering, due to high demand and changes within the industry, they now produce Copper, Stainless Steel, Zinc and Quartz Zinc guttering. They are still the United Kingdom’s only manufacturer of Copper Guttering and in recent years have seen a big rise in the popularity of metal guttering.
Recently Metal Gutta received an order for some of their Standard Half Round guttering profile in natural Zinc. But what made this order more unusual was that the customer also placed an order for Soffits and Fascias to go behind the guttering itself. These items are completely bespoke to the customer and are made to order so that they will fit the specific requirements for their project.
A well-installed fascia and soffit will help to protect the feet of the roof rafters from the external elements. Soffits are seen from ground level and sit below the guttering, whereas the fascia boards run along the lower edge of the roof and are what the guttering is attached to. Having the Fascias and Soffits match the material of your guttering, not only achieves an aesthetically pleasing look, but also ensures that they will all have the same long life as each other and will not require painting or maintenance.
For this job, Metal Gutta also manufactured some bespoke connectors, to connect the downpipe to the customers drainage system. These connectors allowed the customer to connect their 80mm round downpipe into an 80 x 80mm square connector. Allowing for a seamless transition into the customers drainage system.
Metal Gutta does not offer any installation services with their guttering but have designed each component so that any contractor can install it. All of Metal Gutta’s products are made with a quick and easy installation in mind, meaning any competent DIY enthusiast should also not have any problems fitting their guttering. Furthermore, comprehensive, and detailed fitting instructions are supplied with delivery of your goods. They also have an incredibly helpful sales team who are always more than happy to answer any questions you may have.
