EUROBRICK SYSTEMS LTD
Suppliers of: Insulated Brick Cladding Systems, Brick Slip Cladding, Rainscreen Systems, Internal Brick Slips, Stone Cladding System, Brick Cladding System, EWI Systems, Solid Wall Insulation
Eurobrick are suppliers of brick and stone slip cladding systems and was the first to introduce a fully integrated insulated brick slip system to the UK in 1990. Since then, Eurobrick has developed further systems to meet the evolving demands of the construction industry and is the UK’s leading specialist for brick and stone slip cladding and one of the largest stockists of brick slips. Eurobrick is an ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 accredited company.
Eurobrick’s brick slip cladding systems provide the real look, feel and durability of traditional masonry with the benefit of being extremely versatile and quick to install. The systems have a broad range of applications, including new build, rainscreen, modular and refurbishment of commercial and domestic buildings. It is robust and can be installed both on and off site, internally and externally to most construction types.
PRODUCTS
Eurobrick’s original brick slip faced system is lightweight and suitable for a range of applications including new build as an external wall finish or retrofitting as external wall insulation (EWI). The extruded, closed cell polystyrene backer panel is available in different thicknesses; 17, 25, 50, 75 and 100mm. X-Clad is suitable for installation on residential buildings up to 11m and up to 18m on commercial buildings. Used as an EWI, X-Clad will significantly increase the energy efficiency of a building and improve internal comfort conditions for occupiers. Project specific U-Value calculations are available upon request.
X-Clad achieves the following Euro Classification of Reaction to Fire:
- 17mm thick X-Clad Euro Classification of Reaction to Fire EN 13501-1: 2018; Class B- s1, d0
- 50mm thick X-Clad Euro Classification of Reaction to Fire EN 13501-1: 2018; Class C- s2, d2
- 100mm thick X-Clad Euro Classification of Reaction to Fire EN 13501-1: 2018; Class E
Developed for interior applications, for fixing to battens or timber/ light gauge steel stud walling systems. I-Clad has a slim profile, plasterboard backer panel and is suitable for both commercial and domestic interiors.
- I-Clad has Euro Classification of Reaction to Fire EN13501-1:2018; Class B-s1, d0.
Designed for use as a rainscreen system for structures requiring a cavity behind the cladding. P-Clad can be fixed to battens or metal rail systems. It achieves Euro Classification of Reaction to Fire EN13501-1:2018; Class B-s1, d0, and may be installed on residential buildings up to 11m in height and on commercial buildings up to 18m.
A budget system suitable for new build and refurbishment projects, internal and external. V-Clad is a 20mm thick lightweight expanded polystyrene panel with a ribbed profile for easy installation of the brick slips.
HOW THE SYSTEMS WORK
Eurobrick’s systems are quick and easy to install. Each system has a backer panel, which is supplied (pre-laminated) with a vacuum formed styrene skin bonded to it (with the exception of V-Clad, see above). The skin has moulded horizontal tracks between which the brick or stone slips are glued. To complete the installation, Eurobrick’s Europoint pointing mortar is piped into the joints and tooled to achieve a traditional masonry finish.
The cladding systems are supplied as component parts comprising; system backer panel, panel fasteners, adhesive, facing brick slips and Europoint pointing mortar. Eurobrick also supply other components including corner bricks, base trim and tools for installation.
For information regarding installation, please refer to the system specific installation instructions, view the installation videos or call Eurobrick’s technical department.

Eurobrick - How sustainable are brick slips?
In the second of our blogs focusing on sustainability, we explore how brick slips are made, including the materials and manufacturing processes used. According to the World Green Building Council, 39% of global energy-related carbon emissions come from buildings, including 11% from materials and construction, so it’s a key area for the industry to focus on.
As we’ve explored in our previous blog, our brick slip systems come with a range of sustainability benefits, but how sustainable are brick slips themselves?
We work with a small number of carefully-selected brick slip manufacturers in the UK and Europe to source our brick slips, so we have a clear and transparent supply chain when it comes to sustainability information. For example, Environmental Product Declarations which show the environmental impact of a product throughout its life cycle, from raw material extraction, to the manufacturing process, use, and recycling.
Brick – the original building material
Traditional bricks are made from natural materials such as clay, loam and sand, with the specific materials used giving bricks their distinctive colour and finish. As a building material, bricks are durable, low-maintenance and long-lasting – with many brick buildings surviving for hundreds and even thousands of years. All our brick slips are made from kiln-fired natural clay in the same way and offer the same advantages.
We provide two different types of brick slip – cut brick slips and extruded brick slips. Extruded brick slips are the more resource-efficient option.
Our Classic range is a collection of mostly cut stock type brick slips and corners, available in a variety of colours and styles to suit all projects and purposes.
Typically, a single whole brick produces 1-2 cut brick slips depending on the brick type, potentially enabling projects to cover a greater area with the same number of bricks. Their reduced thickness allows for a wall build up design that includes insulation – to improve the energy efficiency of a building.
However, a cut brick is not as sustainable as a manufactured brick slip as there is associated waste, although this is typically used as aggregate.
Our Britannia range is a collection of extruded brick slips and corners made from kiln-fired, natural clay in a choice of colours and textures, manufactured in standard UK sizes.
Rather than being cut from whole bricks, these brick slips are manufactured as a slip using an extrusion process. Typically, they use 70% less raw materials and 50% less energy to produce compared to whole bricks, and there is minimal waste in the manufacturing process. Like our Classic Range brick slips, their slim profile also leaves more room for external wall insulation to improve the energy efficiency of a building.
Transport of extruded slips also brings benefits compared to standard bricks. A full load would be around 50,000 slips compared with typically 10,000-11,000 whole bricks.
What are manufacturers doing to reach Net Zero?
Our brick slip manufacturers are making massive investments in measures to make the brick slip production process carbon-neutral and reduce their impact on the environment. For example, by using renewable energy sources such as wind and solar to power the kilns brick slips are fired in; using local clay to reduce the carbon emissions associated with transportation; and working with local authorities to return used clay pits to nature and increase biodiversity.
Energy efficiency
X-Clad is our external wall insulation (EWI) system. The PolyFoam XPS panel used in X-Clad is an excellent insulator and will improve the energy efficiency of a building and internal comfort conditions for the occupiers.
X-Clad can be supplied in a range of thicknesses from 17mm up to 100mm to help meet the U-Value targets of a project. The U-Value is a measure of how well a component of a building retains heat. The lower the U-Value, the more effective the insulant.
The X-Clad backer panel is free from CFCs, HCFCs and any other material with ozone depletion potential.
