List of featured suppliers of GEOTEXTILES Embankment Construction on Building Products Index
Geotextiles are woven or non-woven fabrics made from synthetic materials such as polyester, polypropylene or nylon. They are used in soil stabilization and erosion control applications, including embankment construction. Geotextiles improve the performance of embankments by distributing loads, reducing soil movement, and allowing water to flow through while preventing soil loss. They are laid over the embankment base and covered with soil or other materials to create a stable foundation. Geotextiles are also used in other construction and engineering projects, such as roadways, retaining walls, and landfill liners, to improve soil filtration and drainage.
