List of featured suppliers of LIGHTING CONTROLS Daylight Sensors / Daylight Linking on Building Products Index
Lighting controls with daylight sensors or daylight linking refer to the process of controlling various lighting systems in an indoor setting using daylight sensors. The idea behind this practice is to take advantage of natural daylight for routing interior lighting. This system automatically alters the light output of electrical luminaires based on available daylight, which results in energy savings and reduces the need for artificial light use. Daylight sensors continuously monitor natural light levels, and when they detect sufficient daylight, they reduce the output of electric lighting. Conversely, when there is not enough natural light, the sensors increase the output of electric lighting to achieve appropriate illumination levels.
