List of featured suppliers of BACK BOILERS Coal Fired on Building Products Index
Back boilers, coal fired, are heating systems that were commonly utilized in older homes and buildings. These boilers were situated behind a fireplace and used coal as a fuel source to heat the water that was circulated around the building. The heat generated from the coal fire would transfer into the back boiler, which in turn would heat the water. This hot water would then be distributed via a network of pipes throughout the building to warm up the space. Back boilers, coal fired, were popular during the mid-20th century but have now been largely replaced by more modern and efficient heating systems.
