Anti Graffiti Protection To New Leisure Centre in Huddersfield
Huddersfield’s new £36m centre on the Spring Grove car park at Springwood is due to open in Summer 2015. It was funded by a combination of cash from the sale of the existing site and other council funds that would otherwise have to be spent on repairs to the current sports centre and other buildings running into millions of pounds.
Hydron have supplied Nu-Cryl AG Extra which is an invisible Anti Graffiti Coating. This has been applied to the external brickwork to protect the surface from graffiti and general dirt and grime. As Nu-Cryl AG Extra is an invisible impregnation it will keep the natural appearance of the new brick while still giving maximum protection. Simply applied in 1 application Nu-Cryl AG Extra offers an permanent anti graffiti system with easy removal of graffiti.
The new leisure centre will replace the existing Huddersfield Sports Centre in Southgate which is coming to the end of its life and will be owned by the council and managed by Kirklees Active Leisure (KAL). It is being built by BAM construction.
