Have you ever noticed how hard it is to spot articulated lorries when driving on the motorways late at night, it’s hardly surprising that so many accidents happen from poorly visible HGV’s. Since July 2011, conspicuity markings have been compulsory for new type approved trucks with a tonnage over 7.5 tonnes – reflective materials, which must comply with regulation ECE 104 of United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, have to be applied to the sides and rear of all relevant vehicles.
