BS 7671 applies to the design, erection and verification of electrical installations.
The IET Wiring regulations BS 7671 are the national standard to which all industrial and domestic wiring must conform.
The newly amended BS 7671 includes a large number of changes from the original 2008 document and highlights necessary information to maintain technical alignment with the CEN/Cenelec harmonization documents. The changes/additions include:
NEW - Measures against electromagnetic disturbances
NEW - Devices for protection against overvoltage (surge protection)
NEW - Medical locations
NEW - Operating or maintenance gangways.
