Bespoke glass design service
A beautifully curving acoustic screen in the Dimbleby Cancer Care combines the style and vision of Nicholas Dimbleby with the technical design and structural glass expertise of Ion Glass. The concept was presented as a rough sketch with the design and technical specification developed by Ion’s team. Surprisingly complex to meet the constraints of the building, the glass panels in opposing curves create a stylish, flowing design across the space.
Frameless glass design concept reality

This bespoke curved glass entrance porch perfectly follows the curve of the bricks that are a key feature of this church in Newbury.
This impressive entrance for a commercial building at Reading features two 7m high screens of corrugated glass panels on either side of the doors, with mirrors set behind for a reflective finish. Ion Glass fine-tuned the design to produce a truly unique installation that met this unusual brief. To the best of our knowledge there is no other building in the UK that features similar corrugated glass.
Ion Glass designed and installed a frameless glass balustrade to fit flawlessly to the individual treads of an elliptical floating staircase. Deceptively simple, the use of helical glass panels is exceptionally challenging to measure, draw and manufacture accurately as each glass panel is unique and there is no margin for error or opportunity for substitution.
