Fernco Boosts Flood Protection Range with Innovative Floodbag
New sandbag alternative to bring protection to homes and businesses across the country
Addressing the urgent need for more effective flood protection products, Fernco, market-leading supplier to the civils and drainage and flood protection sectors, has launched its new Floodbag, an innovative alternative to a traditional sandbag.
Delivered through an exclusive partnership with Environmental Defence Systems (EDS) Ltd, the original innovator of the sandless sandbag, Fernco is determined to make effective flood protection products more widely available to communities across the UK.
Designed to block and divert floodwater from property thresholds, Fernco Floodbags, are filled with a super absorbent polymer (SAP), which rapidly absorbs water and exapnds to create a fully waterproof flood barrier.
Eliminating the need to manually fill sacks with sand, Fernco Floodbags come pre-filled and can be deployed quickly in a flood event. The Floodbags are vacuum and flat-packed for easy long-term storage. Unlike sandbags, Fernco Floodbags won’t deteriorate and become porous over time, delivering a rapid, safe and reliable solution in the fight against flooding.
