Fully frameless, a T-shaped link was designed with a gently inclining roof over a stairway which descends to an underground tunnel to the swimming pool
Each panel was precision manufactured to Ion's specific requirements
The link is created in double-glazed panels filled with argon gas to make it fully heat-retentive, meeting optimum criteria for heat loss performance.
Use of fully toughened Sunguard glass provides optimum solar control
Ritec coating on the roof panels makes it easier to maintain
All metal fixtures and fittings in stainless steel were designed and commissioned by Ion Glass, including a concealed support below the roof panels
A mobile crane was commissioned to lift the heavy glass panels which were manoeuvred into place by Ion's experienced installation team.
Working on behalf of the architects, Ion provided a full service including structural and technical specifications, drawings and digital measurements to ensure a perfect and compliant result.
