Industry Talks with College Teachers
Getting the tradespeople of tomorrow interested in the industry today is a real passion for our Area Development Managers (ADMs), who work with many colleges up and down the country to find new ways to inspire and educate painting and decorating students.
ADM for the South East, Tony Guarino, attended the Green Hub in Eastbourne for the Teachers Encounters Event, hosted by The Careers & Enterprise Company.
Tony spoke to 30 teachers in construction from FE Sussex about game changing products in the industry, including Repair Care, and how this versatile product can be used by a broad range of tradespeople including painters and decorators, carpenters, electricians and builders.
Tony was also joined by Brewers customer Tyler, from TSD Interior and Exterior Decorating. Talking from a practical background, Tyler spoke to the college teachers about Brewers’ support through the site visits ADMs offer, and the expert advice Brewers customers can lean on when they need help on a job.
The talk ended with a final Q&A session, where Tony gave more advice and info on products including Zinsser and Dulux as well as key decorating advice such as brush and roller maintenance.
