CAT Floors the Industry at National Awards Event

CAT manufacture a range of items for the commercial flooring industry targeted to luxury sectors, creating finishes to designer-inspired standards. The Luton based company scooped four awards at the annual Contract Flooring Journal Awards, including the prestigious Installation of the Year Award. The event was hosted at the historic Coombe Abbey Hotel on Friday 9 September 2022.

CAT were category winners as a supplier for best use of flooring in residential refurbishments, flooring in bars and restaurants, flooring in visitor attractions and holiday resorts, which was rounded off with the hardest award to achieve, the installation of the year award, which normally takes years of continuous entries to achieve.

The products supplied were fitted into luxury developments in London, the Garden Room in Middle Temple one of the four inns of court, which houses chambers where barristers practice covered that Bars & Restaurants winning category. The Residential Refurbishments category was won by the Battersea Power Station project, a globally recognised landmark, which is fast becoming one of the liveliest and most vibrant places to live in the city. The Visitor attraction and holiday resorts was won by the Theatre Royal London project, a West End theatre and Grade I listed building in Covent Garden has been a site for entertainment since 1663 and is the world’s oldest theatre site in continuous use. This project also won the highest accolade at the event, installation of the year.

Zoe Marsham, Project Director for CAT said “We came here with some expectation of recognition, but did not expect to sweep four awards including the highest recognition one could achieve that of Installation of the Year.”
