Jakob, the UK’s leading supplier of stainless steel wire ropes and rods, has announced a new addition to its Webnet wire mesh system with the launch of Webnet Evo.

For architects, designers and builders, Webnet Evo brings new creative possibilities both for exterior facades and interior designs. The lively Webnet Evo patterns draw their inspiration from organic structures such as honeycombs and waves and the systems can be used to visually enhance plain walls, interior areas and room partitions. These new variations to the classic Webnet form, allow architects to use completely new and previously unused net patterns, allowing them much more creative freedom.

Featuring all the high-performance attributes of the standard Webnet system, Webnet Evo also provides an extremely high-quality design material that is weather-resistant and requires little maintenance, with no corrosion and no costly cleaning regime, as is the case for example, with glass surfaces or walls which are vulnerable to graffiti. Each net is carefully handmade to individual dimensions. This allows for the most flexible production of a precise, quality assured product for a range of applications.

Webnet Evo is based on the classic Jakob Webnet, a construction of stainless steel cables which forms a flexible, transparent and extremely durable net structure. Like the classic system, Webnet Evo is suitable for a wide variety of indoor and outdoor projects, from balustrading and bridge and car park safety systems, to animal enclosures, green walls and catch nets.

Initially, Webnet Evo will be available with a choice of five different patterns, each of which can be selected again with two variants of the mesh size. Each pattern can therefore be scaled differently, with large or small meshes.
