Black Anodised Entrance Matting at 60 London Wall

January 2022

Black anodised INTRAform DM entrance matting profiles and a curved matwell provide a contemporary aesthetic at Sixty London Wall.

Stripped back to frame and modernised, the building now features a heavy-duty entrance matting system that complements the revamped interior.
BREEAM Outstanding

Offering 328,500 sq ft of Grade A office accommodation, the refurbishment aimed for, and achieved, a BREEAM Outstanding rating. ‘Outstanding’ is the highest rating under the scheme, achieved by less than 1% of the UK’s new non-domestic buildings.

Entrance matting is not directly eligible for points in the scheme as it is such a small component of a building, However, a sustainable specification was key to support the building’s environmental ethos.

Constructed in the UK from recycled aluminium and 100% Econyl regenerated nylon, this entrance matting system is a fantastic environmentally-conscious option.
Entrance Matting Design

Featuring extra-wide fibre inserts, INTRAform DM entrance matting is ideal for heavy traffic locations.

The wide fibre strips provide increased contact to absorb and retain the maximum dirt and moisture from footwear and wheels.

Thanks to the double-height glazing and glass revolving doors, there is an abundance of natural light within the space. Conscious of Light Reflectance Values (LRVs), the combination of black profiles and anthracite fibre negate any potential strobing effect.

The aluminium profiles flow through the revolving doors and continue into the primary entrance mat. With precise attention to detail, the shaped matwell then contours around the structural columns within the impressive double-height space.

With an angled canopy and doorway set back from the street, this fibre-only specification offers no compromise in performance.
Entrance Mat Size

The matwell runs the full width of the entrance encompassing the two revolving doors and accompanying pass doors. Front-to-back, the entrance matting measures from 5860mm to 12,110 at its deepest point. Exceeding, the BS7953 and WELL recommended minimums, this substantial walk-off area ensures interiors are kept clean and safe.
