Terrabase Rustic for landscaped areas at new McDonalds Restaurant in South Wales

August 2019

Addagrip approved contractor Ground Control Ltd installed our Terrabase Rustic resin bound porous surfacing at this new McDonald's restaurant at Swansea's Morfa Retail Park in South Wales. The £1m restaurant is the first of its kind in Wales with its two storeys and a drive thru.

As part of the external landscaping, there was a requirement for a resin bound system for an area at the drive-thru and in front of the restaurant itself. The client was looking for a decorative but low maintenance system that would offer porosity to accommodate the planting scheme.

Over 130m2 of minimum-dig Terrabase Rustic in a Gold blend was selected providing a decorative natural aggregate finish that would require little maintenance and offer a warm welcome to visitors.

Work was completed in April 2019 in time for the opening.
