Following our recent certification for our SuperFLO ABS system, we have further extended our range of high performance plastic pipework systems suitable for the food and beverage industry with a new certification from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for our PVC-U range .
Our complete range of Durapipe PVC-U pipe and fittings has now been certified as FDA compliant, reassuring specifiers, contractors, plant operators and maintenance managers that it is safe for use within food and beverage manufacturing processes.
Already supplying our FDA compliant SuperFLO ABS, C-PVC and Polyproylene (PP) pipe systems, we now boast a comprehensive portfolio of approved pipe and fittings to cater for a wide variety of pipework applications within the food and beverage industry.
Durapipe PVC-U safely transports a wide variety of chemicals, including acids, alkalis and chemical concentrates without fear of corrosion and environmental pollution, making it ideal for manufacturing and process applications. The lightweight nature of Durapipe PVC-U, combined with its simple solvent weld jointing technique, offers significant installation time and cost savings, compared with metal alternatives.
Extending its existing accreditations, the FDA compliance adds to Durapipe PVC-U’s WRAS approval and inclusion in the “List of Approved Products”, as published in Regulation 31 by the DWI.
Commenting on the latest certification, our Industrial Brand Manager, Fraser Higgins, said: “Adding to our rapidly growing portfolio of FDA compliant systems, this latest certification for our PVC-U range ensures we can now offer a certified system for any application.
“We are already seeing an increase in enquiries following our SuperFLO ABS certification as contractors and end clients in the food and beverage sector realise they only need to deal with one manufacturer for all their pipework requirements, offering savings on project time and costs.”
