Established in 1987 Greenbarnes Ltd is an established supplier of notice boards, signage, and street furniture to a wide variety of customers including local authorities, churches, educational establishments, facilities managers, as well as to landscaping and building contractors. Oak Notice Boards:
Our original “Modular Range” oak notice board was born as a result of much research and design work aimed at combating the perennial problems of weatherproofing, condensation and locking. In recent years, whilst we have been flattered by the many who have sought to follow in our footsteps, we have not been resting on their laurels. Indeed, constant minor improvements in specification and expansion of the range available have served to keep us ahead of the competition
Man-Made Timber Notice Boards:
We were early advocates of the use of recycled materials in street furniture and introduced the first of what is now an extensive range of maintenance-free “Man-made Timber” recycled plastic notice boards as early as 1994. Today we supply as many of our Man-made Timber notice boards as we do traditional hardwood boards.
Aluminium Notice Boards & Display Cases:
Our ranges of aluminium cases encompass a wide spectrum of products from A4 menu cases up to 6-sheet poster cases. Most popular are our “A-Select” cases which offer real value for money and our “A-Max” range which has long been synonymous with the highest available.
Signage:
Greenbarnes are not just another sign company. Our experience ranges from the simplest flat-plate aluminium sign to complex bespoke projects in materials as diverse as hardwoods, stainless steel and composites.

From the simplest snapframe to LED illuminated, double-sided, 6 –sheet poster cases, the Greenbarnes range of framed poster cases and V-cases covers a huge variety of possibilities to meet the diverse requirements of our equally diverse customer-base. Available frame materials include aluminium, powder-coated steel, stainless steel and brass.
Cabinet Making:
In addition to a wide range of honours boards, we manufacture bespoke items such as internal notice boards, hymn boards, prayer boards and display cases. Greenbarnes - Covid19 Update - we're still working!
We are continuing to work through the third national lockdown whilst striving to safeguard the health of our staff. To this end, all those who are able to do so are working from home in order to keep the number of people in our factory building to an absolute minimum. The phones are still manned, production continues and we hope to continue being able to deliver our same high level of service, albeit currently with slightly reduced staff numbers.
The higher than usual levels of activity experienced after previous lockdowns continue, meaning that, for many items, we are working on an extended lead time of 6 – 8 weeks rather than our usual 4 – 6 weeks.
We have already taken steps to address this but inevitably such measures take time for their effects to be felt. Please be aware that, in the case of some aluminium notice boards, elements of which are imported from Europe, we anticipate some possible disruption to supply and extended delivery times due to forecast delays at the ports as a result of “teething troubles” being experienced with post-Brexit arrangements. It is likely that this may continue for some time, although so far, so good.
