PACKAGED PLATE HEAT EXCHANGERS - ECONOPLATE
Our industry-leading Econoplate packaged plate heat exchangers are available in various configurations, with over 250 models to choose from. Due to the flexibility of Econoplate heat exchangers, they are the perfect solution for almost any application, including steam to water, domestic hot water service (DHWS), swimming pool heating, low temperature hot water (LTHW), and even complex process heating. Econoplate units are designed to transfer heat from one medium to another, only requiring the two fluids to make a single pass through the heat exchanger. This method is simple, efficient and delivers proven results. Plate heat exchangers have low water content and low thermal inertia, meaning they’re ideal for use in systems with varying heat loads. Econoplate units are supplied packaged with – when needed – controls, primary pump (single or twin-head), secondary pump and/or a 2, 3 or 4 port motorised control valve fitted to the primary circuit.
HEAT EXCHANGER AND BUFFER VESSEL COMBINATION - BV ECONOPLATE
Ideal for environments where hot water demand varies and high peak flow rates occur often, this powerful combination unit meets peak demand with the instantaneous plate heat exchanger output, storing volume within the buffer vessel for efficiency and speed. Coming with a compact brazed heat exchanger, thermal store, pump(s) and controls, the series is available in a range of outputs. The models range from 56kW to 231kW (based on a primary temperature of 80°C) and 33kW to 152kW (based on primary temperatures of 70°C). The heat exchangers are then coupled to thermal storage vessels with nominal capacities of 300 to 1000 litres.
PACKAGED PLATE HEAT EXCHANGER INTERFACE UNITS - ECONOPLATE H SERIES
The H series Econoplates are designed to provide the interface between a central or district heating scheme and individual properties, requiring heating and/or hot water. At the heart of each unit are the stainless steel brazed plate heat exchanger(s) which are packaged with the necessary equipment to control your heating and or instantaneous hot water requirements. The unit types are essentially H1 (Single Plate) or H2 (Twin Plate) with 3 models for each type.
Our heat exchangers can be built for a wide range of specifications due to their modular design. With a choice of frames, plates, connections and plate types, these heat exchangers have the flexibility to suit almost any requirement. BPHEs can easily be disassembled for ease of inspection, maintenance or even expansion by adding plates. Due to the small dimensions of a BPHE, they can be transported, installed and accessed for maintenance more easily than most alternative heat transfer products. Overall, our bare plate heat exchangers offer an efficient, cost effective solution, in a compact, easy to transport and install package.
CBEs are a sealed unit with no gaskets, eliminating the risk of leaks. With no need for gaskets or supporting equipment, around 95% of the material is used for heat transfer. Thanks to highly turbulent flows, our CBEs are largely self-cleaning, making Cleaning in Place (CIP) without disassembly possible, even in applications with a high risk of fouling or scaling. With their robust construction, stable thermal and hydraulic performance and also minimal maintenance, the Stokvis CBE is the perfect solution for heat transfer.
ECONOPRESS enclosed pressurisation units are used for maintaining pressure in sealed heating or chilled water systems; automatically pumping water into systems to maintain initial ‘cold fill’ pressure.
ECONOBOOST - COLD WATER BOOSTER SET
The Stokvis Econoboost units are compact cold water booster sets designed to meet today’s need for reliable, high performance equipment with modest capital outlay and low running costs.
PACKAGED BOILER HOUSES - HEATPAK
Stokvis Heatpak is a unique standalone bespoke packaged plant room, tailored to the site-specific requirements offering the practicality and performance of a standard packaged plant room whilst overcoming the typical difficulties encountered with this type of project. Incorporating high-efficiency Stokvis boilers and the Stokvis Econoplate, the Heatpak provides a fully modulated, high efficiency heating and hot water system, dramatically reducing running costs. Heatpaks can be provided with boilers, plate heat exchangers, pressure sets, booster sets, pipework, insulation, valves, flues, controls and power, all in six to eight weeks. On-site labour is also kept to a minimum which dramatically reduces downtime on site. Due to the low weight of Stokvis boilers, Heatpaks can be installed on roofs and alongside buildings, making it an ideal choice for decentralisation projects.

Stokvis Energy - Which Hot Water Product is Right for my Project?
When it comes to upgrading and replacing your hot water supply equipment, it’s important to get it right. You need reliability, performance, and you need to think about efficiency too.
With the new, technically advanced Econostore from Stokvis, you have a large variation of options to ensure there’s a suitable model for almost any project.
Getting the right option installed is important. And it can be a task to make sure you go ahead with the right one. There’s a number of things you need to think about when you’re deciding what to go for, and thankfully for Stokvis customers, we have a specialised team on hand to work everything out for you.
Why isn’t it easy?
Well, hot water storage units such as the new Econostore come in a variety of sizes and designs to suit a vast range of different performance requirements.
Most commonly, they’re designed to store domestic hot water so that it can be used on demand.
You’ll find them in commercial and industrial applications such as schools, universities, hotels, prisons, care homes and leisure centres. And the type of Econostore you need is often dependent on many varying factors.
This is where the science behind choosing the right hot water product comes in…
Size DOES matter…
Unless you have large amounts of excess energy to use from your heat source and can supply the full demand instantaneously, storage will almost certainly be required.
The size of the storage vessel you need will also depend on the application you are using it for. For example, if you are using it to provide hot water for a hotel you will need a larger storage vessel than a version used in a school.
Other considerations are type of heat source and availability of plant room space (which is almost always very tight).
Then there’s the technical side of things:
What’s the heat load duty?
What’s the requirement of the system
How will it be operated?
What else in the building relies on the same heat source?
Is one unit enough?
These are the challenges faced with almost every commercial hot water project. And, they’re also the exact same challenges that the Stokvis team tackles daily. This means we have the experience and the expertise to ask the right questions and help guide you in making the most effective product selections for your projects.

Econoplate by Stokvis: New and Improved
Are you ready for some exciting news?
There’s a new Packaged Plate Heat Exchanger that’s about to come to market. And guess what?
It’s the best Packaged Plate Heat Exchanger yet.
Our Econoplate has been the staple of many plant rooms and boiler houses for the last 30 years. And our latest version of the product is a revolution in its evolution.
Stokvis Energy Systems’ General Manager Toby Stone said: “I’m really excited about our new Packaged Plate Heat Exchanger. It’s the latest version of the Econoplate by Stokvis, and it comes with new features and benefits that haven’t been seen on PPHE before.
“We’ve taken the best bits of the current Econoplate, like its outstanding build quality, performance and reliability, and fused that together with enhanced flexibility and a focus on optimum efficiency. Add to that the option of a basic or intelligent smart control panel, and you’ve got a piece of kit that can truly be classed as state-of-the-art”.
State-of-the-art Econoplate by Stokvis
The Econoplate by Stokvis transfers heat from one medium to another. And, it only requires two fluids to make a single pass through the heat exchanger.
The control components are also continuously monitoring and regulating, making sure the desired output and efficiency is achieved.
It’s a simple, efficient method that delivers the best results. It has a low water content and low thermal inertia, so it’s the perfect product to use with systems that have varying heat loads.
“We’ve told a few clients about the new Econoplate” Toby added. “And they’ve already asked if we’re able to demo the unit in action. They’re particularly interested in the smarter touchscreen controls, and we’re sure it’ll receive an overwhelming welcome when it launches next month.”
