Applying External Render in Winter: Top Tips from SAS Render Systems
Applying External Render in Winter: Top Tips from SAS Render Systems
When it comes to external rendering in winter, strategic planning and the right products are crucial for achieving impeccable results. In this guide, we'll explore expert tips for winter rendering, highlighting what is important to consider during cold weather conditions.
Weather Conscious Application
Before diving into your winter rendering project, keep a close eye on weather forecasts. Opt for days with moderate temperatures and dry conditions. All cementitious products must be applied in five degrees and rising temperatures inclusive of overnight curing. This ensures optimal conditions for SAS Render Systems products to deliver outstanding results.
Pristine Substrates for Success
Prepare your surfaces meticulously. Ensure that the substrate is clean, dry, and free from any contaminants. SAS ProRend's commitment to quality aligns perfectly with the need for a pristine surface before rendering.
Choose the Right Render
Select a render that can withstand colder temperatures. Speak to the SAS Technical Team on 01647 24620 for the best application advice specifically crafted for winter conditions, and how to get the best durability and performance during challenging weather.
Explore Accelerators
Look for an accelerator designed to speed up the curing process. These additives can be invaluable in colder temperatures, ensuring a quicker and more efficient set.
Stick to Manufacturer Guidelines
Always adhere to the guidelines provided by your specification or any product manufacturer. Following these recommendations is essential for achieving optimal results, especially in challenging weather conditions.
Thorough Inspection and Repair
Before applying the render, conduct a comprehensive inspection for cracks or damage on the substrate. Addressing these issues beforehand ensures a flawless finish that withstands the winter elements.
Rain and Frost Protection
After application, shield the render from rain and frost during the critical curing period. Utilise Hessian sheeting or protective coatings to safeguard your facades against the elements.
Mastering external rendering in winter is an art that combines strategic planning and the use of premium products like those offered by SAS ProRend. By following these tips, you'll ensure a successful rendering project and discover the efficiency and reliability of SAS ProRend products.
