APPLICATION and STANDARDS

Robeslee prestressed concrete lintels are suitable for a wide range of building techniques. A combination of lintel sizes may be used to suit varying widths and conditions. All lintels are designed in accordance with BS 5977: Part 1: 1981, BS 5977: Part 2: 1983, BS 8110: Part 1: 1985, BS 8110: Part 2: 1985.

STANDARD PRECAST CONCRETE PRODUCTS.

Robeslee have various standard precast concrete products including Cills, Steps, concrete lintels, copes and edging.

COMPOSITE CONCRETE LINTELS.

When composite concrete lintels are used in conjunction with 2 or more courses of brick or blockwork, the advantage may be taken of the composite action of the concrete and brickwork together.

NON-COMPOSITE CONCRETE LINTELS.

Non-composite or independent design concrete lintels can be used when there is insufficient brickwork above the concrete lintel to provide adequate composite action or where higher load bearing capacity is required.
