Brewers Wolverhampton Supports Customer With Sahara Trek!
When a regular customer at Brewers Wolverhampton mentioned that he was walking across the Sahara Desert to raise money for Birmingham Children’s Hospital, the branch were determined to support him.
Branch Manager, Diane Robbins, arranged for a donation of £500 for the decorator, Kevin Jackson, who joined 35 other adventurers completing the 100-km trek across the desert in just five days. The team together have raised more than £120,000.
Diane said: ‘Kevin has been a loyal customer at Brewers Wolverhampton since we first opened our doors in 2023. Over time, we've had the pleasure of getting to know him and his wonderful grandson, Teddy. Teddy, who has a special love for animals—especially giraffes—always brightens our day with his visits and cheerful conversations.’
‘Teddy has faced significant health challenges at a young age, including undergoing multiple operations to repair a hole in his heart. Inspired by their strength and positivity, we at Brewers Wolverhampton wanted to show our support for Kevin and the incredible work done by Birmingham Children’s Hospital.’
‘Last year, we were proud to support Kevin as he completed the 100-mile West Highland Way Walk to raise awareness and funds for this important cause. As he embarked on another meaningful walk this year, we were once again delighted to sponsor him with a £500 donation.’
‘We're really looking forward to joining Kevin soon for a visit to Birmingham Children’s Hospital, where we’ll have the chance to meet some of the amazing children and families supported by this incredible cause.’
Kevin said: ‘I would just like to say a massive thank you – not just for the £500 donation Brewers have made but also to yourself and the rest of the team at Wolverhampton branch who are always ready to help and support me in my fundraising for this fantastic children’s hospital. We will hit £20,000 this time which is unbelievable. Once again, thank you to Brewers and the Wolverhampton branch for your ongoing support.’
