Fernco, the leading designer and manufacturer of flexible couplings for the civils and drainage sectors, has announced today that David Millward, who joined Fernco in 2021 as National Sales Manager, will take up the role of UK Sales Director from 1st October 2023.
This promotion signals Fernco’s strong intention to continue investing in its undisputed reputation as one of the industry’s most trusted and respected supply partners. Joining the business in 2021, and with a stellar 30-year career in the builders’ merchant sector, David has made a significant impact amongst customers, colleagues and other industry stakeholders. His drive, passion and relentless focus on the needs’ of customers has resulted in this well-deserved promotion and further strengthens the Fernco reputation in the market.
Commenting on David’s promotion, Lee Pashley, Fernco Managing Director has these words: “We knew when David joined the business he would make a big impact, not only in terms of his impact on sales performance, but in terms of his ability to nurture both new and existing relationships. He has a unique talent and is unequivocally respected by each and every one of our customers. But importantly, he has enabled us to deliver on the promises we made to the market when we became Fernco – promises around our customer-first commitment, the speed in which we will bring new products to market, and critically, how we will continue to push hard, change and innovation that will bring us all greater success.”
As David takes up the new role from next month, he has this to say: “I’ve been in this industry a long time and it’s afforded me the opportunity of seeing how companies really perform, both during good times and bad. It was joining Fernco post-pandemic that I knew my decision to join this great team was right. The strength of their customer commitment and respect of each other is unlike a business I have ever seen. I am of course delighted to be promoted to Sales Director, and while the title and my role adjusts to reflect new responsibilities, I am fortunate to work amongst some of the industry’s most talented people and without companies like Fernco, we would not be the resilient and dynamic industry we are today.”
