The Kingspan Minehead half-marathon is set to return to the town on Sunday, 24th May 2020.
The race - along with the 10k run - will start at 10am on the Minehead esplanade and follow a looped circular route which has been marked out so that the runners will be going in opposite directions, increasing the fun for participants and spectators alike.
The event is being organised by a team from Kingspan Water & Energy, based locally in Wiliton. The company is sponsoring both runs, including cash prizes for the under and over 40 age category for first, second and third half marathon finishers, as well as medals
for everyone who completes the course.
The half marathon is open to individuals over the age of 18, while entrants between the ages of 10 and 18 are permitted to enter the 10k race subject to parent or guardian consent via the Disclaimer form.
All proceeds will go to Watchet Sea Scouts which provide boating experiences for children and the Freddie Pring Memorial Fund which has been set up to raise funds locally to provide sports coaching and development to adults and children in West Somerset.
