Clark-Drain strengthens its ductile iron recessed cover range.

Drainage product and access cover leader, Clark-Drain, introduces CD D930J-DSL, adding to its popular ductile iron recessed manhole covers which include both C250 and D400 loading specifications.

Kite-mark certified to BS EN124-2:2015, the new cover extends the clear opening access of the range to 900mm x 900mm, which also includes 600mm x 600mm options.

Designed for non-carriageway locations, where paving is specified, but can also be filled with concrete, tarmac and resin aggregates, the D400 cover is ideal for use in areas trafficked by slow moving heavy goods vehicles such as retail delivery areas, private access roads, bus depots, petrol stations, commercial and industrial delivery and transport hubs.

All the covers in the range incorporate features which benefit both the built environment and the public. These include locking screws for added security and stability in use, whilst the double seal design of the cover and frame, when used with grease (CD 285), helps to control odour egress.

With a load rating of up to 40T, their durability adds to the sustainable life of Clark-Drain installations, in heavily trafficked areas in the UK, including Blackburn Bus Station, and internationally, at Ventspils Seaport, Latvia.

Products in the range include CD D930J-DSL, CD D630J-DSL and CD C630H-DSL.
