Eco-friendly guttering for new Café at Neyland Yacht Haven

In January 2019 a new café called ‘Manillas’ opened within the Neyland Yacht Haven, which is nestled in a well-protected creek at the upstream end of the Milford Haven Waterway. Known for their eco-friendly sleeping pods at the marina, beautiful natural materials were chosen for this new build and our box style copper guttering with square copper downpipes was the perfect choice to finish the building.

Copper is a wholly natural material present in and essential to all plants, animals and humans. Copper is 100% recyclable and environmentally friendly. Once installed, which is easy with ready-made components and silicone sealant, the gutter will last in excess of 100 years with very minimal maintenance.
Besides its high corrosion resistance and attractive appearance, it also acts as an algaecide and fungicide, keeping growths such as moss and lichens to a minimum, with obvious advantages when it comes to keeping gutters clear on a site surrounded by the sea and parkland.
