List of featured suppliers of GEOGRIDS Biaxial on Building Products Index
Geogrids, biaxial are materials made from woven or extruded polymer fibers that are designed to improve soil stability and the strength of paved or unpaved surfaces. They are commonly used in civil engineering and construction projects as a form of reinforcement to prevent soil erosion and improve the load-bearing capacity of foundations, roadways, and retaining walls. Biaxial geogrids are different from uniaxial geogrids in that they have reinforcing properties in two directions, allowing them to provide improved tensile strength and stability in both the horizontal and vertical planes. They are usually made from a variety of materials, including plastics, polyesters, and composite materials.
