Over the last few years we've noticed that lead times are getting shorter with demands getting higher. Providing the quickest delivery lead times can sometimes set you way above your competitors.
Normally we offer a 3-5 day delivery lead time on all our roll products and 10-14 working days for pads and die cuts. Since we offer a bespoke service and all our materials are made to order, that is very speedy. We know, however, that things don't always go to plan and urgent orders are sometimes needed.
Additionally, we are finding the last week of every month is becoming by far our busiest week of the month. As a manufacturing operation we are our most efficient when demand is relatively even. We have looked at ways to make sure we always supply our customers on time, while staying efficient. One answer is schedules.
Schedules - How do they work?
We like to keep things nice and simple here. If you have a reasonably regular requirement for a particular product, we will be encouraging you to set up a schedule with us. Schedules are flexible and are not binding on you, but give us the ability to better predict demand, and to manufacture in advance of requirements when we have quieter periods. You can always bring schedules forward, or push them back.
Another option that can supplement schedules or run separately, is a stockholding agreement. We can put together a simple stock holding agreement between us, to hold this item in stock for you to call off as and when you need, and then replenish the stock after we ship out. This type of agreement can run for an allotted period of time or until cancelled by one of the parties
What can it do for me?
No-one wants the possibility of losing business because an urgent order cannot be satisfied. And no one wants to hold excessive stock in case an urgent odrer arrives! That's where we come in - shipping your held stock out to you for a next-day delivery, so you can be sure not to let regular or new customers down. Make sure you are the reliable one in your industry!
