The 30 second pipe solution that is taking over building sites
Launched following market feedback, Fernco’s Icon range has been making waves throughout the drainage industry. Effortlessly connecting pipelines made of any material via their internal surface.
The innovative product is solving those tricky onsite issues where pipes cannot be connected via their external surface due to pipes being encased in concrete or surrounded by brickwork; or when pipelines have been sheared close to the floor or wall, leaving no stub or excess where contractors could attach a traditional external coupling.
The products in the Icon range feature a pushfit design, for an easy and tool-free installation, reducing labour costs and saving time on site. It’s innovative features and design means it is removing the internal joint step created with more traditional connections, whilst maintaining superior joint stability against shear load forces.
Throughout the creation of the product, contractors told Fernco that they “loved the idea” of an internal coupling, and now Fernco’s Icon pushfit is widely being used as part of regeneration and maintenance projects amongst water and utility contractors and being called “real life-savers on site.”
The Icon features a pipe stop so that it is inserted into each pipe evenly, as well as multiple sealing ribs for added security of a watertight seal. Its tapered edge eliminates the risks of ‘snags’ and creates a smooth transition within the pipe, allowing for natural flow.
WRc approved and now tried and tested by thousands, the Icon range consists of six variations designed to provide straight connections to DN100 and DN150 pipes, or to provide adaptor connections when DN100 pipes are connecting to DN150 pipe sizes.
A totally versatile product, the Icon pushfits are ready for any solution; and it is the only universal push fit product on the market for any DN100 and DN150 pipe.
