When a pharmaceutical company in the UK needed a safe access solution, Kee Systems requested a meeting with the project manager to make introductions and provide guidance as specialists.

Kee Systems walked the site with SDC, marking hazard locations with measurements – the scope changed from 3 stepovers to 36no., 20LM of Guardrail, and 2no. safety gates.
During the survey, site logistics and timelines were discussed with the project manager which highlighted an urgency to complete the project within 8 weeks.
A proposal was generated with a complete site layout showing the various stepovers and their exact location making it easy to identify and provided the QS with everything necessary to start the order process. After submitting the proposal, we received an order shortly.

The modular design of the stepovers meant that everything was lifted to the roof in sections by the installation team which negated the use of a crane to lift fabricated stepovers into position.
Off-the-shelf kits in combination with good stock levels enabled a quick turnaround from order to installation ensuring the project deadlines were met.
Kee Guard utilises space-saving weights which provides unobstructed walkways.
The installation of collective protection enables access to the roof with minimal PPE, and training, and without a rescue plan reducing the liability risk.
