MYSMARTBOX 60 min FIRE-RATED – A new innovative solution by DAD Decayeux 60- minute integrity fire rated smart parcel lockers.
DAD- Decayeux is proud to announce that it has become the first company to achieve a full fire rating (one-hour integrity) to BS EN 1363-1: 2020, on assembly of electronic parcel lockers. This has been successfully tested by Warrington Elements on September 2020.
Why MySmartBox is important in the new buildings?
The Covid-19 has shown a rise for orders online and the need of a secure, preferably contactless delivery system in residential block of flats. Some surveys by YouGov are even showing the impact of the lockdown on the people online purchasing behaviour. The trend was already on the increase pre Covid-19, it will now get faster, meaning more parcels arriving in receptions and lobbies every day.
Why the fire-rated option on Parcel lockers will be the new standard?
The Grenfell Tower fire in 2017 has forced both the regulatory and local government to review the framework relating to fire safety and combustibility. Decayeux has always been aware that the security of residents is the most important thing in the buildings. That’s the reason why, we decided to launch MySmartBox 60 minutes fire rated. This product is designed for an installation indoor, on fire escape routes, like lobbies or reception area with mailboxes, to follow Building Regulations and fire requirements.
