Tyvek® breather membranes are engineered for the purposes of providing protection to buildings and their occupants from external climatic conditions and from the effects of condensation. By controlling the movements of heat, air and moisture through the building envelope Tyvek® breather membranes can make a major contribution to protecting the environment by improving the energy efficiency of buildings.
Tyvek® Roofing Membranes:
Tyvek® membranes for pitched roof constructions provide excellent protection against external weather conditions whilst allowing water vapour to freely move out of the construction.
Tyvek® Supro/ Supro Plus: This durable Tyvek® roofing underlay reinforced with a laminated Polypropylene nonwoven can be used in all supported and unsupported pitched roof applications, including warm, hybrid and cold roofs.
Tyvek® Enercor® Roof: Is a vapour open roof underlay with a metallised surface which keeps radiant heat out in summer and helps to reduce heat loss in winter.
Tyvek® Metal/ Tyvek® Proclad: This underlay is a vapour open drainage membrane with integral adhesive lap allowing eventual condensation beneath Stainless Steel, Copper and Zinc roofs to drain away.
Tyvek® wall membranes:
Wall membrane range of Tyvek® can be used in most forms of wall construction and provide excellent protection against external weather conditions whilst allowing water vapour to freely move out of the construction.
Tyvek® Reflex: Is a vapour open underlay with a metallised surface that reflects radiant heat in summer and helps to reduce heat loss in winter.
Tyvek® Housewrap breather membranes: Can be used in timber frame wall applications, but are also suitable for steel frame and concrete structures.
Tyvek® Soft: Suitable for walls in timber frame, metal frame, masonry and internal insulation upgrades.
Tyvek® UV Facade: Ensures optimum protection of the insulation and structure in ventilated or rainscreen cladding constructions from sunlight, wind and water.
Air & vapour control layers (AVCL):
Air & vapour control layers (AVCL’s) suitable for roofs, walls and floors help to reduce convective heat losses but also provide highly engineered vapour control for breathing systems.
DuPont™ AirGuard® Reflective: Is a 100% air tight air & vapour barrier featuring a metallised surface with a very low emissivity, which combined with a non-ventilated airspace significantly boosts thermal insulation in a building.
DuPont™ AirGuard® Control: Is a vapour control layer for roofs, ceilings and walls reducing uncontrolled air leakage and heat losses.
Accessories:
The Tyvek® range of accessories has been developed to complement and enhance Tyvek® building envelope solutions. The adhesive tapes and sealants are specially designed for use with Tyvek® membranes to help reducing uncontrolled air leakages.
